Akuapem Poloo has been arrested for her provocative photo with her seven-year-old son.
The arrest comes days after Child Rights International asked Ghana’s inspector general to investigate the photo that went viral on social media.
The controversial actress had decided to get completely naked in a photoshoot with his son to celebrate his 7th birthday. The young actress says she did this because she gave birth to her son naked.
“My son today, you remind me of the very day I gave birth to you; stress-free and without regret….. June 30, 2013 exactly at 4:46 a.m. I still remember that date not because it’s really important to me, I only felt the pain 30 minutes and that’s when you were shooting to go out. You were so nice to me. I gave birth without complications, without interruption or difficulty. I love you my son. You see how you look at me; always remember that I love you. I’m naked in front of you because that’s how I gave birth to you, so in case you find me lying naked somewhere, don’t be ashamed but think of me more like your mother who gave you life, “she wrote.
According to reports, Akuapem Poloo was arrested by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and transferred to the headquarters of the Domestic Violence Support Unit in Accra.
